Description


Pathology -  We offer a comprehensive Anatomic Pathology Laboratory focused on accurate diagnosis, disease management and prevention, with an emphasis on women’s health. In addition, a full spectrum of tissue pathology services is available; from small biopsies such as breast, cervix, gastrointestinal, prostate, skin, bone marrows, and lymph nodes to large resections. Our pathologists are board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Cytopathology; they offer a high level of medical expertise and personal service to assist physicians.
With state of the art rapid tissue processing, same day diagnosis on surgical cases is available to enhance the standard of patient care.

Cytology - Our Cytology department provides testing for gynecological and non-gynecological specimens using liquid based monolayer preparations (ThinPrep®). Each cytotechnologist is ASCP registered and is trained and certified to evaluate and diagnose FDA approved ThinPrep® liquid based preparation. In addition to providing outstanding cytomorphologic diagnoses in a timely fashion, we have implemented cutting edge technology and molecular cytology methods such as:


Computer-assisted Pap smear screening with the ThinPrep® Imaging System.  The goal of the laboratory is to provide rapid, consistent, and accurate Pap smear diagnoses to provide better patient care.

Reflex HPV testing for patients with atypical diagnoses on pap smears. 
Results are reported within 48 hours of specimen receipt

Molecular - We offer routine molecular diagnostic testing for both infectious and genetic disorders utilizing an array of nucleic acid amplification methodologies. Results are reported within 24-48 hours of specimen receipt.
